A timeless cruiser, reimagined. The bike that inspired the first Shandoka retrofit. Two motor sizes, three batteries, and the classic lines of Yamaha's 1976 slimline cruiser.
Finished electric XS400, side profile against a plain wall, so the battery box and the original tank line both read.

When the XS400 arrived in 1976 it was an instant classic — a small, slim cruiser that suited a new rider chasing open road and an experienced one wanting an easy cruise. Shandoka gives it a second life: the same timeless frame, with a drive system that will still be current in a decade.
Sold as Maxim and SECA trims, the XS400 came in two characters. The SECA was built for track and street performance — six speeds, a smaller front tire, quicker steering. Our retrofit keeps that geometry and adds boosted power with better weight distribution.
